Content Management explained

Content management systems are integrated into a website by the designer to enable the owner to update and change information on their site themselves. This is extremely useful as it gives non-technical staff the ability to maintain website content through an error-proof interface that can be learned very quickly. The following are examples of features a content management system could include:

  • Updateable image or product gallery
  • Discussion forum
  • Event management system and calendar
  • Updateable news or product information
