We have our own dedicated, fully managed server giving a good balance of cost, security and performance.

There are 2 main flavours of hosting and each are suited to different types of site:

Shared

With a shared hosting solution your site will be stored on a server with many other sites. This keeps costs down and is perfect for sites with low to medium levels of traffic and relatively simple content or core functionality.

Dedicated

This is a server specifically for your site, this provides maximum resources and improves security. A dedicated solution is relatively expensive and is required if your site has large amounts of users and complex applications with database use.

At Deckchair we have our own dedicated, fully managed server which is looked after by the extremely helpful people at Rackspace. Our server is shared between our clients, which gives it good balance of cost, security and performance.

We also offer email services with full anti-virus, spam protection and web mail facilities. Web mail is a flexible function that allows you to check your emails out of the office or home on any computer with internet facilities.
