JavaScript is a language designed to work with HTML to improve and enhance an otherwise very static web page. The designer has a little more flexibility and can add a wide variety of interactive functions. For example, you could create an online questionnaire, give personalized messages to returning customers or display different text or pictures according to the time of day.
